Aging hippie, retired RN who loves peace and quiet, reading, being in or near water and who enjoys being spontaneous, dares to be different and enjoys kicking back with a cold beer or glass of wine at sunset. I am very selective in my friends and admire intelligence and a sense of humor.

Favorite Band or Musician: Just any oldies, rock and roll, jazz and blues.
Favorite TV show: Not really into television.
Favorite movie: I enjoy movies that make me laugh and good mystery movies. Anything with Jodie Foster, Jennifer Lopez or Ashley Judd.
Favorite book: I'm an avid reader, mostly fiction. I read tons of mysteries.
Favorite sports team: Not into sports at all.
Favorite food: Wanting to become a vegetarian. I enjoy cooking healthy meals.

My Hobbies

As I said, I love to read. I also like to be around water, go swimming, canoe excursions, rafting and fishing. I love to be with Nature. I write poetry, play clarinet and a little guitar. I like to dance but rarely go out to clubs.

Most Admired

I admire strong women who have made it on their own. I may choose to have a man in my life, but I don't NEED one. As for family, with the exception of my daughter and her 2 children, I'm really without any immediate family. I have a cousin who is very similar to me in her views about life.
